Meet Sijh Diagne
Transforming high-stakes global economic engagement into measurable outcomes.
Sijh Diagne brings a rare combination of frontline multilateral experience and corporate advisory expertise. He has over 15 years of experience in advisory and senior government roles at the intersection of global finance, multilateral institutions, and African economic policy.
Previously, he served as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Economy, Planning, and International Cooperation of Senegal. In that role, he supported Senegal’s COVID-19 economic response, helped develop the country’s recovery and resilience strategies, and contributed to youth employment initiatives. During Senegal’s presidency of the African Union in 2022, he also served as G20 Deputy representing the African Union in both Sherpa and Finance tracks.
Before serving in the public sector, Sijh gained extensive experience in finance and management consulting. He worked as an Investment Banker in the Technology, Media, and Telecom Group at Credit Suisse in New York, where he participated in over $20 billion in financing and M&A. Prior to his investment banking experience, he served as a Managing Consultant at Mastercard Advisors, covering major clients across the Middle East and Africa. Sijh began his career at Oliver Wyman’s Dubai office, advising clients across North America, the Middle East, and Africa in the Communications and Media Technology (CMT) practice.
An Archbishop Desmond Tutu fellow, Sijh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic and International Studies with honors from Northwestern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Sijh is a sought-after speaker, having spoken at COP, the G20, Chatham House, Harvard Business School, and Northwestern University. Sijh served as Financing Deputy of the African Union at the G20 and as a core member of the International Financial Architecture Working Group, representing the African Development Bank.
